Season opener brings about great result

The Medway Madness played the first game of the 2009-2010 season against Chelmsford Chargers and came away with a great 4-4 draw.

Results in previous years have gone the Chargers way so this represented a real improvement in performance for the Kent side, travelling with a short bench.

Goals came from debutant Neil Ratcliffe (1+2), last season's top scoring forward Nick Long (1+2), alternate captain Andy Rush (1+1) and ever improving Chris Ward (1+0).

The Madness now face new side, University of Kent Knights, on Sunday 25th October at 9pm.

Its all about TEAMWORK - Play as a team, lose as a team, win as a team.

It still makes me laugh that against 9 players they had to have a hotdog line and double shift the tall guy and whatshismush lol
